BPM’s 10-Year Anniversary & Customer Appreciation Days

To celebrate 10 incredible years, BPM is hosting Customer Appreciation Days from June 4th–13th packed with:

The goal is simple: celebrate the incredible members, coaches, and community that helped shape BPM over the last decade.

Fitness is about more than workouts — it’s about relationships, support systems, accountability, and having fun while improving your health.

That’s exactly what BPM has built over the last 10 years.

HYROX Training in Victoria Continues to Grow

One of the biggest trends in fitness right now is HYROX — the global fitness race combining running with functional fitness challenges.

As HYROX continues gaining popularity across Canada, BPM has become one of Victoria’s go-to gyms for HYROX preparation and race-style training.

HYROX 60 Classes at BPM

BPM recently launched HYROX 60, a dedicated class designed to help athletes improve:

  • Running endurance
  • Functional fitness
  • Race pacing
  • Strength endurance
  • Movement efficiency

Each session includes:

  • Structured warm-ups
  • Skill coaching
  • Running intervals
  • HYROX-specific stations
  • Strength and conditioning work

Whether you’re training for your first HYROX event or chasing a competitive finish time, HYROX 60 gives athletes the tools to perform better and train smarter.

Research shows that combining resistance training with cardiovascular conditioning can significantly improve overall fitness, endurance, and athletic performance (Garber et al., 2011).

BPM HYROX Simulation Events

BPM’s HYROX Simulation events have quickly become some of the most exciting fitness competitions in Victoria.

These events recreate the intensity and structure of real HYROX races using official-style movements and race formats.

Athletes can participate in:

  • Singles divisions
  • Doubles divisions
  • Relay teams

The simulations are designed for all levels — from first-time competitors to experienced racers.

Participants experience:

  • Timed heats
  • Race-day energy
  • Community support
  • Structured competition
  • Official-style workout standards

For many athletes, simulations help improve confidence, pacing, and mental preparation before race day (McCann et al., 2010).

StrengthCon: Building Strength the Smart Way

For members focused on strength development, BPM’s StrengthCon classes remain one of the gym’s signature offerings.

StrengthCon uses a structured 20-week undulating periodization model focused on:

  • Building strength
  • Improving lifting mechanics
  • Increasing muscle mass
  • Developing conditioning
  • Tracking measurable progress

Programming includes:

  • Squats
  • Deadlifts
  • Pressing movements
  • Olympic lifting variations
  • Accessory strength work
  • Conditioning intervals

The program culminates in 1RM testing to help members objectively measure progress.

Periodized strength training has consistently been shown to improve long-term performance and strength outcomes (Kraemer & Ratamess, 2004).

Recovery & Contrast Therapy at BPM

Recovery is one of the fastest-growing areas in the fitness industry — and BPM has embraced it fully with its contrast therapy offerings.

BPM’s recovery sessions combine:

  • Sauna exposure
  • Cold plunge immersion
  • Guided recovery experiences

Contrast therapy may help:

  • Improve circulation
  • Reduce soreness
  • Support recovery
  • Promote relaxation
  • Improve overall recovery perception (Hohenauer et al., 2015)

For many BPM members, recovery sessions have become just as important as training itself.

More Than a Gym — A Community

What truly separates BPM from many gyms in Victoria is its culture.

Over the last 10 years, BPM has built a reputation for being:

  • Welcoming
  • Inclusive
  • Supportive
  • Fun
  • High-energy
  • Community-driven

From group workouts and HYROX events to anniversary parties and beach volleyball nights, BPM creates experiences that keep people motivated and connected.
